Multi-Sectoral Programme on Violence Against Women, a joint initiative of Bangladesh and Denmark Governments, under the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, established National Trauma Counseling Centre (NTCC) at the Department of Women Affairs Building, to provide mental health support to the women and children victims of violence. This centre, provide psychosocial counseling and support services to all VAW victims. This centre will also provide different types of training to develop a pool of skilled counselors. Besides these, this centre identifies, assesses and manages the psychological problems of women victims of violence through individual and family counseling.
Objectives of the NTCC
Provide psycho-social counseling support for women and children of NTCC, OCC and Safe home.
Conduct different types psycho-social counseling training for Human Resource Development.
Organize awareness raising programme such as observation World Mental Health Day.
